October Storm

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! I’ll post later about the updates what I’ve been doing so far tomorrow. I’m having headache for some reason. Although, I worked earlier today. ERGH! I don’t know why I volunteered since I’ll be only having one work day next week which its on Monday. Yeah… its pretty lame. Anyways, Hope y’all have a good first day of the YEAR; 2009!

Wendy has notified the TFL’ers about the NameCheap Chrismtas holiday contest where you’ll win free domain names from December 1st through the 25th. We’re utterly ADDICTED to the contest. The process is to answer the NameCheap bot’s question on Twitter every hour. There’ll only be 3 winners each hour, though. Wendy and I have already won two so far. I’m not sure exactly what to do with one extra domain. I only hoped to win just one to make a portfolio site. Anyhoo, I have three finals to take to finish this semester. I took the first one yesterday which is Mass Communication Journalism. I hope I passed that class. *cross fingers* The other two would be on Monday. *groans* The Economics exam would be first at 9am and the second one would be the Web Design exam at 10:30am afterwards. I don’t know about Economics class and I’m pretty sure I’ll be failing that class. That is kinda of expected since the teacher is horrible at teaching the class and such. So, I’ll have to take it again next year or maybe during the summer with DIFFERENT teacher.

Moving on… I’ve already got two Christmas cards from TFL’ers yesterday. First photo posted is Courtney from NC, USA and second one Melanie from FL, USA. Um… I’ll try my best to post all the pictures of the cards that I’ve received. I gonna make the cards either today or tomorrow and try to mail it on Monday. I know its kinda tad bit late to send out. *laughs* Also, I’ll add one card (the third one) to the photos down below which is my Aunt’s. She handmade the card and its lovely! *sighs* I’m SOOOO feeling left out that I’m missing out on the movie viewing in theatres. It seems that almost everyone is watching it. I would prefer watch movie with OC (Open Captioned) in the theatres. They’re always like LATE in showing the popular films. Right now, they’re showing Role Models and Quantum of Solace (new James Bond film) and Bolt. They would probably show Twilight few weeks later. *cross fingers* When they do, I’m gonna hop in my car and dash to catch the movie in time. The movie theatre with OC is like hour and half away from here. *sad face* I REALLY REALLY REALLY WANT TO SEE IT! *whines* Anyways, I’m looking forward to watch Bolt when it comes out on DVD or whenever its uploaded on Mininova.org, torrent site that I tend to visit sometimes. Only problem is that I cannot download any movies since the school network blocks that. *glares* BUT! I have a solution where my friend, Amber, can download them for me and send them to me through IM (instant messenger). *evil giggles*

Anyways, I just saw that the movie industry would go ahead and do the second film of Twilight which it’ll be called New Moon based on the second title of the book series by Stephenie Meyer. We’ll see if they’ll do all four, huh? *cross fingers* Um… I know the movie wouldn’t follow EXACTLY what is in the book. So, I’ll just pretty much just ignore all the comments from the folks who dislike the film. Please dont dare to leave comment on here otherwise they’ll be removed! I DON’T CARE WHAT YOU THINK!!! *huffs* You all should know that movies don’t always have EVERYTHING that is from the book. *tongue raspberry in your face* Yes, they’ll just tweak whatever that suit fits in the movie with Stephenie’s permission. It is just impossible to squeeze everything in. PERIOD! // ends the ranting…

So… Right now, I’m reading a book from Stephenie Meyer which is calls, The Host. It is interesting and bit weird so far. I’m about like almost 5 chapters in. Looking forward to finish the book and might want to buy my own copy of it. I’m borrowing my interpreter’s daughter’s book. *grin* I guess that is about it and I’ll update the blog later about how my Thanksgiving went. I’ll end the blog post with the wishing for you and everyone to have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! *gobble gobble*

He’ll be our first African-American president for the first time in history! That is some quite a change for sure! I just knew he’ll win for sure since I would rather McCain to keep the traditions. Although, he would follow Bush’s footsteps or I might be wrong. I didn’t bother to vote since I don’t think it really matters. I haven’t got the chance to change the voter’s registration address and location since I’ve moved in end of August.

Anyhoo, Here is the new theme for Christmas and there is a countdown up above. *cheers* I’m kinda looking forward to Christmas since it meants that no more school! Of course, I would want presents! Also, I’m excited to do the Secret Santa for TFL folks and I’m participating in the Christmas Card Exchange.
